AI Headshots for Founders

Founder photos run on pitch decks, press hits, and About pages. Here is what investors and journalists expect, from one selfie.

A founder headshot does more jobs than almost any other professional photo. It runs on your company About page, your pitch deck team slide, Crunchbase, press coverage, and every podcast or panel you appear on. Each of those wants something slightly different.

Three photos, not one

The mistake is treating this as a single-image problem.

  1. The team slide. Small, square, consistent with your co-founders. Plain background so five faces on one slide do not look chaotic.
  2. The About page. Larger, more personality allowed, environment optional.
  3. The press photo. Journalists want higher resolution and often a horizontal crop with negative space for text overlay.

Shooting one photo and cropping it into all three is why so many founder photos look wrong somewhere.

What to aim for

  • Consistency across the founding team above all. Mismatched founder photos read as disorganised. Same background, same lighting, same crop.
  • Approachable but not casual. You are signalling that you can be trusted with money and that people will work for you.
  • Avoid the arms-crossed power pose. It dates the photo immediately.
  • Leave headroom in at least one version. Press will crop it.

The consistency problem AI actually solves

Getting four co-founders in the same city on the same day with the same photographer is genuinely hard, and it is why most early-stage team slides are a collage of mismatched photos. Generating each founder's set from the same founder pack gives you matching lighting and background without coordinating calendars.
